First winter season with the new Streuböden cable car

It has just been officially opened and now the first winter season with the new Streuböden cable car is already history. A winter season that didn't impress with a lot of snow, but still shone with great piste conditions until the end of the season on 6 April and made us happy thanks to an incredible number of sunny days and many guest visits.

And not least because of the new lift. Our guests enjoy the new, modern access to the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. The gondola ride up to the Lärchfilzkogel in no time at all and with the best views - without long waiting times and changing lifts - has almost become a matter of course. Not only for skiers, but also for winter hikers and families with children, for whom the Streuböden middle station is the perfect starting point for a relaxing day, including a marvellous panorama. Children and beginners got their money's worth this year, as a new highlight was created just in time for the main season with Timok's magic carpet. The 50 metre long conveyor belt and the adjoining flat ski meadow now offer the best conditions for slowly getting to grips with your first ski turns and have already proved very popular in the first winter.

Otherwise, the winter season was filled with many events. In addition to the weekly recurring events (First Line, Ski Show, Behind the Scenes), the freeride events (Freeride World Tour, ALPIN Freeride Days, Danish Freeride Championships) and the White Pearl Mountain Days, which traditionally take place at the end of the season, a highlight of this winter season was the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships in Saalbach Hinterglemm. A total of 175,000 fans watched the World Championships live. The event not only shone with top sporting performances, but also with excellent organisation and an impressive atmosphere. To ensure that fans from Fieberbrunn could also get to the races in Hinterglemm on time, the Fieberbrunn cable cars opened daily at 07:30 during the World Championships and offered a special early start for everyone.
