ABOUT THE PICNIC CONCERTS

FAQs about the Picnic Concerts

What time do the picnic concerts start?
The concerts begin at 7:00 PM. The F1 Streuböden cable car (1st section) runs continuously until 10:00 PM on Long Fridays.

Where are the concerts held and how do I get there?
The event takes place in the family park Timok’s Wild World at the Streuböden mid-station and is accessible via the F1 Streuböden gondola (1st section). Alternatively, you can hike there in about an hour from the valley station via hiking trail no. 8 or ride your mountain bike up, e.g., past the Ferchlstadl on trail no. 260.

Which lift tickets are valid on Long Fridays?
All season and annual passes, as well as partner cards such as the PillerseeTal Card (note: one-time use per day) or the Kitzbüheler Alpen Summer Card, are valid. Single tickets for the gondola (1st section) are also available for the evening ride. The ticket office at the valley station is open in the evening.

Who can I bring to the picnic concerts?
Whether young or young at heart, rock fan, Austropop lover or sing-along enthusiast – the picnic concerts offer something for all ages and musical tastes. One thing is guaranteed: a relaxed evening in a stunning mountain setting with the perfect musical vibe.

How can I order a picnic basket?
The picnic basket can be ordered directly via the Bergbahnen Fieberbrunn website at from around mid-June. Orders can be placed until 12:00 noon the day before the event. On Long Friday, the basket can be picked up until 8:00 PM at the S4 Alm at the valley station. After the event, the basket can be returned at the same place, where you’ll also receive your deposit in cash.

What can I bring to the picnic concert?
All guests are welcome to bring their own picnic blankets and food. Since temperatures can drop quickly in the mountains and the ground may be damp, we recommend bringing a water-resistant blanket and a warm jacket. For guests who prefer not to sit on the ground, wheelbarrow benches are available at the mid-station (free of charge – first come, first served – please return after use).

What happens in case of bad weather?
In case of bad weather, the concert will take place indoors at the S4 Alm near the valley station.

Is there an accessible area for guests with physical disabilities?
Yes, the gondola and the gravel path from the mid-station to the concert meadow are barrier-free. Visitors using a wheelchair can easily choose a suitable spot. For those who cannot sit on the ground, wheelbarrow benches are available for use.
